UMOJA by ladarrion williams
In the heart of Birmingham, Alabama, six brave Black students at McMillan University, a predominantly white institution, unite to form a co-ed fraternity dedicated to the overlooked Black community on campus. As they strive to make their voices heard and secure a space for themselves, their noble mission is derailed by escalating racial tension and a scandal that threatens to unravel their efforts. MOS SPRING 2025 SELECTION

CUCK, CUCK, BULL by Spencer Whale
April 24, 2025 at Zeam NYC STUDIO
Bushwick gays Danny and Ike are getting married! But they’re running out of time to decide what that means. When a confident third introduces them to fresh sexual dynamics, their growing secrets threaten to tear them apart. Perhaps literally. Cuck, Cuck, Bull is a new traumedy about losing your way in the endless labyrinth of the Internet. This outrageous exploration of a modern queer subculture explores the dark side of mainstream acceptance and to what lengths couples will go to maintain a sense of the taboo.
OUR MISSION
We aim to nurture a vibrant network of rising and established theatre artists who value collaboration and strive for excellence in their work. We are committed to platforming underrepresented voices and underproduced works, believing that a healthier, more sustainable indie theatre scene in New York City begins with expanding whose stories get told—and who gets to tell them. By creating real opportunities for connection, for growth, and for risk, we aim to foster an environment where artists can thrive on their own terms. We’re not here to replicate the old model—we’re here to set a new standard for independent theatre in NYC: one that is artist-driven, community-rooted, fearlessly ambitious, and that doesn't break the bank.

OUR VALUES
-
Lead with kindness, generosity, and gratitude.
-
Collaborative, ensemble-based work.
-
Platform underrepresented artists and underproduced works.
-
Uphold anti-gatekeeping principles by demystifying "the business" of this industry whenever possible.
-
Create high-quality theatrical work that is accessible, both to make and to witness.

BARBARA SCHULMAN, OXFORD TALENT MANAGEMENT
An exciting new player on the scene! While other showcases allow any actor who can afford it to participate, this company thoroughly screens their prospective talent and is committed to bringing in skilled actors who are also kind and hard-working people-- I know this because I now represent a handful of them! Additionally, their dedication to accessibility, equity, and authenticity within this industry is apparent in everything they do. I consider myself a fan and will continue to support this company and attend their events!

I'm so in awe of how you champion others and have created a safe and fun environment for everyone to uplift each other. Cannot emphasize my gratitude for the MOS squad enough. I hope I can pay it forward ASAP!

GUS CHILDRES,
AUGUST SHOWCASE, SIGNED WITH OXFORD TALENT MANAGEMENT
MOS made the single biggest impact on me both personally and professionally. It gave me the platform to cut through all the red tape. I met my manager...I booked a role in a local theater company's original production...I will always have immense gratitude for MOS and the people behind it.
