what makes this showcase different
Traditional, for-profit showcases can be extremely cost-prohibitive, and not every actor enters this industry through BFA programs with a built-in industry showcase. Many come through studios, non-degree training programs, or entirely different paths where that opportunity doesn’t even exist.
We think the idea of the showcase needs a new narrative—especially in an industry where actors are increasingly expected to make their own work, build their own network, and create their own opportunities.
The MOS Showcase was built to make that opportunity more accessible: less financial barriers and a program that honors the actor's process as much as the results. Just as importantly, actors build relationships with one another and connect with industry professionals in a room shaped by the artists actually making the work.
ACTOR-LED MATERIAL
Actors choose the material they want to perform based on how they see their own casting types.
A REAL REHEARSAL PROCESS
Rehearsals spanning two months with a professional theatre director, scene partnership, group outings and artistic community-building.
NO PANEL & NO NOTES
The night is about sharing the work and connecting—not performing an audition for a table of judges.
A WARM INDUSTRY ROOM
Friends, family and industry professionals from theatre, film, and TV are all on the guest list. And from playwrights looking for their muses, to managers looking to help shape the careers of rising artists, the room is about so much more than just getting signed.

*The MOS Showcase operates on a nonprofit model. Participation fees are used solely to cover costs associated with producing the event, including venue rental, director fees, and other production expenses. Guest attendance is free, and MOS does not generate a profit from Showcase participation fees. Actors can expect a participation fee of approximately $200–$350 for the full two-month process.
